The arrival of the HD consoles even brought a new feature to the world of gaming, visual awards that could be shown off to other gamers. Microsoft set the ball rolling with their Achievements system for Xbox 360, while Sony followed suit with Trophies. With players now able to provide proof of their skills to others, the desire for help in completing the set tasks became even greater. You couldn’t cheat them, but you could certainly gain assistance in earning them. Secret Trophies and Achievements, the objectives for which remained hidden, left players hungrily searching for what they needed to do in order to get that elusive mark on their gamer-cards.
